Who Are We?

Community Power Agency (CPA) has a solid reputation for championing socially responsible renewable energy development, highlighted by the success of our flagship program, the Socially Responsible Renewable Energy Development course. With its proven track record, the SRRED course has empowered industry professionals like you, with vital skills and insights for effective community engagement and benefit sharing. With our expertise and collaborative spirit, the SRRED Exchange aims to extend the impact of the SRRED course, fostering positive social and environmental outcomes while driving system change throughout the industry.


Our Facilitators

Dr Jarra Hicks, lecturer and facilitator of the SRRED course will join us again in leading most seminars in the Exchange. Jarra is an experienced researcher, author and facilitator, specialising in social licence and the outcomes and impacts from community owned renewable energy projects. She is also a founding director of the Community Power Agency. Importantly, Jarra also has on-the-ground experience in community engagement and project development of renewable energy projects.

She will be joined by Rena Frohman from Griffith University’s Centre for Systems Innovation, who also facilitated all of the SRRED iterations. Rena is a Program and Learning Designer with over 25 years experience in national and international contexts. She holds a second Master’s Degree in Leadership in Global Development and devotes her energies to creating meaningful impact in community and education contexts.  

Our Plans

The Exchange offers two subscriptions:

  • Annual membership for Industry Professionals and State and Federal Government 

  • Annual membership for those employed in Local Government, NGO’s and community organisations
