When you join SRRED Exchange today, you’ll get access to our:
  • Knowledge-sharing seminars: Join regular online sessions that take a in-depth look into the course content. These seminars explore key topics such as community engagement, benefit sharing, and community co-investment, and include guest experts and interactive activities. It’s an opportunity to explore the course in more depth and stay connected to the evolving field of socially responsible renewable energy.
  • Deep-dive discussions: Engage in rich, facilitated online discussions on the current issues around the social aspects of the renewable energy transition, such as shared benefit strategies, community engagement practices, and the role of First Nations in energy projects. Who Are We?

Community Power Agency (CPA) has built a strong reputation for championing socially responsible renewable energy development, with the SRRED course being a standout program since 2021. With a proven track record, SRRED has already empowered hundreds of developers, policymakers, and community advocates with the skills and insights needed for effective community engagement and benefit sharing. The SRRED Exchange expands on this success, supporting both new learners and alumni while fostering ongoing connections, capacity building, and knowledge sharing to drive positive change across the industry.


Our Facilitators


Dr Jarra Hicks

Dr Jarra Hicks, lecturer and facilitator of the SRRED course will join us again in leading some seminars in the Exchange. Jarra is an experienced researcher, author and facilitator, specialising in social licence and the outcomes and impacts from community owned renewable energy projects. She is also a founding director of the Community Power Agency. Importantly, Jarra also has on-the-ground experience in community engagement and project development of renewable energy projects.

Dr Anna Berka

She will be joined by Dr Anna Berka who brings a wealth of international experience in community energy, inclusive innovation, and policy analysis. Anna is an accomplished researcher, author and practitioner with over a decade of work across the UK, India, New Zealand, and Australia. Her expertise lies in understanding and evaluating the barriers and opportunities for energy democracy, and how policy and governance frameworks can support local benefit sharing from renewable energy projects.

Elizabeth Noble

Elizabeth is the coordinator of the SRRED course and brings deep expertise in community engagement, energy equity and participatory planning. With over 20 years’ experience across Australia, the UK and Asia, Elizabeth has worked at the frontline of designing and delivering community-centred sustainability initiatives. As a Director at Community Power Agency, she leads the projects to ensure the energy transition is not only environmentally responsible but also socially just.
